[resolved] Post-Installation (7 posts)

As a precursor, WordPress has been installed on this system - I have moved through the installation process successfully on my server and was given my username(admin) and password(random) - when clicking 'Log In' at the end of installation I was directed to an 500 : Internal Server Error.

Attempting to access the blog index in general also yields the same outcome error.

So I went to check my error log on my server - it's empty.

"Your CGI error log is currently empty."

So this leads me to believe that the PHP scrips have created a blank page - could this be due to missing files, or is there another way to go about troubleshooting this issue.

Thank you in advance for your responses : the website can be accessed here: http://jfm.bump21.com | Install Proof: http://jfm.bump21.com/wp-admin/install.php

usually a 500 error on install is indicative of missing files
    try uploading them again

    - Removed, and re-uploaded all files
    (0) Failed Transfers | (756) Successful Transfers

    Using Version 2.9.2 (most recent)

    - Removed database, created new, and successfully installed again
    - Same issue continues:

    http://jfm.bump21.com/wp-login.php appears as:
"The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.
    "

Same errors displays for http://jfm.bump21.com main index.

    Server error log still empty.

issue resolved, On a whim, I backed up and installed version 9.2.1 and all went through without a hitch - there must be a file error in the publicly available download of 2.9.2.

    Thanks for your help
