• It seems that Post-Expirator, one of our most useful plugins, has stopped working. When I set an expiration date/time and click update the post is in place for short time then expires – several hours earlier than it was set to.

The only change to our system, that coincides with the change in behavior, is that we recently upgraded to PHP and MySQL 5. Does anyone know if this is what broke Post Expirator? I don’t see a way to contact the author on the plug in page.

    Thanks
    Daf

No one else noticing this? Anyone know how to reach the author- his blog is not accepting comments nor can I find any contact info.

    Thanks!

Had a chance to dive a little deeper into this today. It is working – however it’s ahead by 5 hours. Since our server, and thus our blogs and all server time/date settings, are set to utc -5 I’m thinking this has to be a time zone discrepancy. I tried to read a little on PHP 5.2 changes and I think that I read that the date/time was changed … but I don’t understand enough about PHP to really know what I was reading … :/

Anyone care to add any thoughts on this. This plugin was vital to our operation – I’m still a little disappointed that post expiration isn’t a standard WP function.

    Thanks!
