    Hi folks,

    Problem exactly as it says in the subject line. I can't click on it to add content or switch between visual and html, it's totally dead.

    It appears to be a javascript issue as when I'm on a post edit screen I can't collapse or extend (uncollapse?) the menu on the left.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,
    Rab

    Did you turn off all your plugins and switch back to 2011?

    Yep, no luck.

    I'm running Firefox 8.0.1, Safari 5.1.1 and Chrome 15.0.874.121 on OS X 10.6.8.

    Cheers,
    Rab

    I have the exact same problem, it seems. But mine started about an hour BEFORE I updated to 3.3. It occurred suddenly while editing, and I was hoping the upgrade makes the problem go away. No such luck. It afeects old and new posts, i.e. all posts get an empty editing window with none of the editing features working. I cannot even type readable text, i.e. the cursor moves but nothing shows. Picture upload does not respond, etc.

    However, when using view post, the web site looks ok. Posts just cannot be changed, new posts cannot be created.

    It seems that some other functions are disabled too, not just post editing.

    I am usually running IE9 on Win 7-64, but it does not work on Firefox 8 or Chrome either.

    Very strange.

    I tried what others suggested, i.e. deactivate all the plug-ins.

    Nothing has changed; editing, together with a bunch of other functions, still does not work.

    And as others mentioned: the empty editing window shows the html code if highlighted, even in Visual mode. But it cannot be changed.

    Make sure you've read the entire Master List post - There's a known JSON issue.

    You could try installing the Hotfix plugin - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/hotfix

    I am using Calotropis. Switching to Twenty Eleven or Twenty Ten did not resolve the edit problem.

    I installed the hotfix: that did not resolve the edit problem either.

    hapzfl - Given that yours started BEFORE you upgraded, I think it's unrelated to Rab's.

    Would you make a new topic for yourself on this one, and make sure to point out you had this on 3.2 as well.

    Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    @smokey861: It is considered impolite to interrupt another poster's thread. Please post a new topic.

    Hi Ipstenu,

    I checked the /wp-admin/load-scripts.php?load=jquery page and it loaded up this (plus a whole lot more too long to paste):

    /*! jQuery v1.7.1 jquery.com | jquery.org/license */
    (function(a,b){function cy(a){return f.isWindow(a)?a:a.nodeType===9?a.defaultView||

    I take it that means the JSON bug isn't confirmed on my installation?

    Cheers,
    Rab

    Hi folks,

    Previously, hotfix 0.8 did the trick, but now having upgraded to 3.3.1 on one of my sites, it's messed up again. It's no major thing as it's a development site but I'd really like to get some work done on it and having the editor not working is a major pain.

    Cheers,
    Rab
