Post editor broken since 3.8.1

    On trying to use the post editor, I’ve noticed it no longer autosaves when I enter a title, and when I try and enter information in custom taxonomy fields I have setup (which worked perfectly before), WordPress no longer offers autocomplete suggestions or even allows me to enter data into these fields.

    Sigh. Before I learn my lesson and stop ever updating WordPress, ever, can anyone suggest how to rectify this?
