Hey, i think version 2.8 messed my girlfriend's blog up. This is what happens now...I can make a new post but only the title shows when I publish.
the word counter does not count any of the words I put in the post.
the revisions shows the many times in which I have recised the post but every single time i publish...only the title shows and not the post.
Any one else come across this?
Try deactivating all plugins and check to see if this resolves the problem. If it does, activate the plugins one by one - checking the posts after each re-activation - until you find the problematic plugin(s).

tried this and it made no difference.
i don;t have any plugins other than google anylitics.
anything else i can try?

Are you copying text directly from MS word or writing manually?
Pasting from Word was never a good idea. It messed up, and caused problems for many wordpress bloggers.

i am typing everything in manually.
this is happening with new posts only.
if i try to edit old posts, it keeps it the way it is without the new revisions.
it's like it's not saving the changes.

Got the same problem. Deactivated all plugins but still no good. Now trying to reupload the wp-includes and wp-admin.
The HTML Tab is not accessible too (while editing post / page)

do you download the wp install file and just re-upload the wp-includes and wp-admin?
that will not disrupt anything will it?
my fear is losing the blog and its contents.

still reuploading, i'll keep you posted on the results when it's done.
hopefully not. =) don't want to lose the blog and the contents too.

rename / remove the old "wp-admin" and "wp-includes" folder first, then reupload the two folders.
don't forget to deactivate the plugins.
seems to work fine now.
and the contents are still intact. =)

Hi I have the same problem that others said, my last 2 post arent shown at my home page.
I tried what sofyand suggest about re-uploading wp-admin and wp-includes but nothing happens.
You can view the last two posts clicking on post 1 and Post 2, but if you check the home page it doesn't shows.
Please I need to fix this, thanks.
