Post dates prior to 1901 broken (1 post)

I am entering historic postings for the Phoenix Street Railway, and have gotten back to the 1890s. However, if I enter a post date prior to 1901, the post gets today's date, while the permalink gets 1970-01-01, and WP won't display it no matter what I do.

Poking into the database reveals the post_date correctly set to 1891, but the post_date_gmt in 2011... The 1970 date is not in the database at all.

For example, please see this page, and note that the permalink to the post (Half of streetcar miles pulled by horses) is in 1970; the database has the 1891 and 2011 dates... there's no way to display that article.

Using the post editor, or the Quick Edit in the admin screens, you will see that it is impossible to save a date before about 1901... it gets reset.

This bug in date-handling is preventing me from displaying, and from properly attributing my posts. Suggestions?
