   When I set the widget to use the post content, it is ignoring all <p> and <a> tags in the content.

   I have added "<p>" and "<a>" to the "Advanced Post Options"->"Post allowed tags" menu.

   Is there a fix for this?

   How have you added those tags? an you replicate here the way you've written thos tags in the field?

   Have you taken a look at the source code. Everything works fine for me.
