• I have now posted twice this week and once two weeks ago and every time I save my post and schedule to publish, it publishes…and somewhere along the line my content (text and images)disappear…making me look like and idiot with posts with no content…The tags and title stay but no content…just blank!

So I have to go back in and select one of the revisions that has all the content and republish.

Why is this happening?? Not sure if this is since I updated to the current version, but I am really unhappy with this.

  • There is a known issue with scheduled posts and markup in WordPress 3.5. This should be resolved in 3.5.1 (due out shortly).

    hey guys!

im having this issue now as well, though my publishing is not scheduled. the second I click on the [Publish] the content disappears – i just see the title and one image.
I have no idea where to look at

I had the same problem but for me, only part of the content was being deleted. I did all the usual turning off all plugins and swapping my theme but to no avail. In the end, one of the forums suggested running my site through the W3C html validator which I did and it threw up an error that the document encoding was utf-7 instead of utf-8. I changed this in the “Reading” settings of my wordpress install and hey presto! it worked. This may be a good place to start, if there is no option to change the character encoding then your WordPress is 3.5 or newer in which case it will default to utf-8 automatically. It may still be worth running your site through the W3C validator http://validator.w3.org/
