Im looking for a way to set certain posts to be in a category for only a pre-determined amount of time at which point they are deleted from that category.
As an example, lets say i have a category named "headlines". I can put many different posts into this category and decide on a per post basis how long they stay in that category until they are removed from it. Obviously if they arent in another category they should automatically goto uncategorized, but itd be nice to get a notice of this somehow to.
Is there a plugin that does what i am describing?
Not exactly what you want but something to consider:

Thanks, but i want to maintain the post, just change its category.
Is there a way to do a timed "sticky" post, where after a set time its not considered a sticky anymore?

I just had a client who wanted something like this. It made me think how if we had OS X Automator like Actions for WordPress how cool that would be. I need to schedule the behavior of post types.
In your 5 mos since you posted, did you come up with a solution?
