• Hello,

I like the post by email feature! Very Cool! πŸ™‚

The only problem I’ve found is that if I have quotes in the post, the post is truncated at the first post. It became obvious when I had a 3 page post truncated at the first sentence πŸ™‚

Any thoughts on how to handle the quote issue? I can’t seem to escape the quotes via email, so I’m a bit stumped.

    Matt

    Update:

I don’t think that its’s quotes now that I’ve played with it a bit more.

Single/double quotes appear to work. But any other non-text characters appear to be a problem. For instance in the word cliche, there is a different character than an ‘e’ for the last character (I don’t know it’s name, please fill me in) the reason I thought that it was truncating at quotes is that an online piece I was quoting had some quotes around a term, but I can see in the source that they aren’t really quotes (I don’t know what they are either).

I hope my rambling is enough to help get this part of the WP base more stable. It’s a great tool/feature. I can work around the issue, I just need to be careful of what I’m quoting.

I am looking to stop email posting at a certain point in the email. Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi all,

I do have this kind of problem, only worse, with *regular* (not email) posting in wordpress 2.7.1. The title as well as the message gets truncated at the first quote or accentuated character. Since I write in French this is rather a bit of a problem…

I tried both visual and HTML tabs.

    Cheers,

    AO
