   The background in my posts is black and the sidebar is competely black except for the google search bar.

   It was happening on other people's computers, not mine. I updated my windows explorer and now I'm getting this problem on my computer too. Its ontariofarmgirl.com

   Did you make any changes to style.css or change any background

   I see that your sidebars are at bottom looks like you have made changes in style.css replace style.css

   I can't find where anything has been changed. I've deactivated any plug-ins, tried changing posts to draft one at a time, but nothing is working. Please help!

   Re-upload a fresh copy of your theme.
