Post / page fields automatically added into table press

    Hi,
    I’m newby and I’m sorry if this has been asked before.
    I’m making a list of hotels and so far I manually inserted some fields from my posts to table press, for example: Image, Hotel Name, Rates, etc.
    Thus there is a big chance of putting wrong info to the respective hotel.
    My question is can we create post whose some fields automatically added into table press?

    Hi,

    thanks for your question.

    Sorry, but this is not possible with TablePress, unfortunately. Data can not come from other fields or posts.

    Therefore, the better approach here might be to not use TablePress, but to create the table with some custom PHP code in a theme page template. With that, you could use a “The Loop” and write out the table HTML code, with the content from the custom fields.
    Then, to have them sortable, you could manually add the DataTables JavaScript library.
