I'm trying to add a plugin for a post author and I'm getting this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function post_author_meta_box() in /home/liz/public_html/theorangeave.com/wp-content/plugins/post-author/post_author.php on line 156
This is the wordpress version I'm using (2.8.6)
Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong..
Providing a link to download the plugin in question will help someone help you.

Might try deactivating, deleting, then reinstall that plugin. I was able to install and activate that plugin successfully.

could it be that I'm using wp - version I'm using 2.8.6 ???
Exactly when do you get the message. Activating the plugin. Visiting the Author Posts Settings page? Browsing to your home page?
Also you might try deactivating other plugins and if necessary change to the WordPress Default theme.

Hi, I am the author of the plugin. We have tested it successfully with WP 2.8.6. The bug you are referring to should not occur in version 0.3.
You might try and do as Michael suggested: uninstall, delete files and reinstall from repository.
I am tagging version 0.3 as compatible with WP 2.8.6.
