This is my first post here, I'm new to wordpress, but I have basic knowledge with php.
I want my archives and category pages to show a list of only the post name. I've searched for it in here, it just confuses me, I think I just need a simpler explanation. Thanks.

In your archives file, look for either of the the following:
<?php the_content(); ?> or <?php the_excerpt(); ?>
Remove them and it should leave only the title showing.
