Easy Google Fonts
[resolved] Possible to use per theme? (6 posts)

This may be a wild thought but is it possible to launch EGF from the theme functions.php rather than as a plugin?

I ask because many of the themes on my multisite have their own font controls. Maybe if I can disable EGF on those themes? That would work too. Any ideas?

    Thanks

It is possible to disable a plugin for a specific site on a multi-site based on its id. Here is an example on how to do this on WordPress Answers.

Sites change themes so that won't work. I'm still familiarizing with wordpress functions (and php for that matter) but maybe something like remove_function(egf_plugin) that I can add to functions.php.

    Hi WebTrooper,
The blog_id stays the same regardless of which theme the user has selected. Check this plugin out it might be what you are looking for. As this is not a plugin issue I can't really provide any support but let me know how you get on.

Thanks. That doesn't quite work either. I understand this is out of scope for EGF support but I do appreciate your effort. Having EGF enabled for themes which have their own font controls will cause a little confusion for my network's users, but I think it's a small compromise for what EGF offers. I also think most users are smart enough to figure it out. :)

    have a great day!
