   I use the plugin wp likes http://blog.aakash.me/index.php/2010/01/wp-likes-3-0-a-glimpse/

   It works well with this theme and allows plenty of customisation. It's not a star rating plugin tho. I tried those and the jquery seems to mess with the theme. wp likes works however!
