Possible to display non-selected category images greyed out?

    Hi

    I am very new to wordpress. This is my first site, so please forgive me if i am asking something that has already been answered.
    I will have only 9 categories in my site. So i would like to display all 9 images in every post with the relevant category images alone highlighted with the non-relevant ones greyed out,

    Is this possible?
