    Hey! the theme I use has no footer, but I would like to have some. if I edit the footer.php, the content is shown beside the sidebars, not at the bottom of the page. is there a possibility to add a real footer that works? would be very nice, thanks Tobi :)

    sure - depends on the theme you are using, and on the content of footer.php so far.

    theme?
    footer code?
    link to your site?

    oh sorry, of course.

    theme:
    Fjords04 1.0
    footer code at the moment:
    </div>
    </body>
    </html>
    my site:
    http://onnestoned.ohost.de/

    hope you can help me, thanks :)

    there is a closing div </div> too early in the code, probably before the call of the first sidebar.

    and some other validation errors: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fonnestoned.ohost.de%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

    after removing the wrong closing div, you should be able to add any footer code, and this should show at the bottom of the page:

    <div id="footer">
    any foooter content here
    </div> <!--end #footer-->
    </div>
    </body>
    </html>

    the style for #footer could be mostly copied from #content:

    #footer {
    	width: 95%;
    	text-align: left;
    	border-top:solid 1px #CED4CA;
    	border-bottom:solid 3px #CED4CA;
    	border-left:solid 1px #CED4CA;
    	border-right:solid 3px #CED4CA;
    	float: left;
             clear:left;
    	margin: 5px;
    	padding-top: 0px;
    	padding-left: 15px;
    	padding-right: 15px;
    	padding-bottom: 30px;
    	background: #ffffff url(imagenes_qwilm/header1.JPG) no-repeat top left;
    }
