   I get this warning when using Dynamic Widgets:

   WARNING STRICT sql mode in effect. Dynamic Widgets might not work correctly. Please disable STRICT sql mode.

   All my dynamic widgets are working as far as I can see.

   What kind of problems can I expect if I continue to use STRICT sql mode?

   There are known situations DW was not behaving correctly when saving options to the database. Basically losing the options at that stage. I can't exactly recall in which unfortunately.

   Anyway, I recommend you to disable STRICT mode.
