Convert Post Types
Possible duplicates? (3 posts)

    Is it possible that this [great] plugin is creating duplicates? When a search is performed (e.g. brochure) at my site http://www.whatsthebigidea.com, there are duplicate posts that appear. For instance, these are the same posts, just different versions: http://www.whatsthebigidea.com/27-revision-31.html and http://www.whatsthebigidea.com/brochure-design.html. I manually deleted all post revisions via DELETE FROM wp_posts WHERE post_type = "revision"; though http://www.whatsthebigidea.com/27-revision-31.html remains. Any ideas? Thanks for a very useful and time-saving plugin.

    If anyone else has the same problem here is a possible solution: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/47280/revision-records-in-wp-posts-have-original-post-type-instead-of-revision

    I ran:

    SELECT * FROMwp_posts`
    WHERE (post_name LIKE "%revision%" OR post_name LIKE "%autosave%")
    AND post_status = "inherit"
    AND post_parent !=0
    AND post_type != "revision"`

    and deleted the 148 instances of saved revisions (as actual) posts. This may have been due to using "Post Type Switcher" at some point.

    I've never seen that happen, but that doesn't mean it's impossible. I'll do some more testing with drafts and see what happens.
