I'm having problems using the portfolio of this theme (I bought it off Themeforest but the author stopped offering support for it: http://themeforest.net/item/bapia-responsive-business-wordpress-theme/discussion/2625222?page=4).

When I insert the portfolio using a 4 column layout, it will end up only displaying 1 or 2 columns, bumping the first 2 or 3 images for a given row down to the next line by themselves. It will then start over with the next row doing the same thing.

You can see an example here: http://i48.tinypic.com/2dk08cj.jpg

Using Firebug I noticed that some of the columns are longer, overlapping some of those below them, but this doesn't happen every time the issue occurs.

I can provide css files and layout php files if needed.

It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could help. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like either mark-up errors or CSS problems. Start by validating your site for errors:

If that's not the problem, try using Firebug to work with the CSS.

Beyond that, if your commercial theme is no longer supported, I'd suggest finding another theme.
