I tried posting this but didn't get any replies, so sorry for double-posting, but I think my original post has been forsaken.
In old versions of WordPress, the Press It button opened a popup window to write a new post. In version 2, it brings the present window to the write post page. How can I get it to pop up a new window? I'm running Safari, but it seems to have the same problem in Opera and Camino.
This has probably been addressed at length elswhere; I just can't seem to find where.
Thanks!

This topic is a couple of months old....I have the same question....but also don't see it answered. How can I (we) get it to pop up in a new window as before?
Firefox on Windows (location a) and on Mac (location b)

I would love to have the "Press it" bookmarklet open a Pop-up or New Window/Tab. This would make my life so much better!
Heck, what about a Firefox extension of some sort?

Just found the Blog this plugin. Very cool, opens a mini-posting window with only the bare essentials.
Still wouldn't mind opening the full posting window via "Press it".
I modified a working bookmarklet from Tumblr and changed it to work with WordPress. Go geeeeet it.

Not that anyone asked, but I use performancing (ScribeFire) and it works great.

I created a wordpress plugin that mimicks the functionality of the Tumblr bookmarklet allowing you to quickly post photos, text, quotes and videos. Check it out here: http://blog.twelvehorses.com/2007/07/18/tumblr-inspired-quick-post-wordpress-plugin/
