• I just added some new footer widget areas to my child theme of Twenty Twelve, and they’re working fine except for one strange thing – I’m seeing the poppop paste-in code in any widgets I add to those footer widget areas (not the Poppup widget area) – in the admin area. I looked through the Poppop code for clues but didn’t see anything obvious that would be causing this.

For my new footer widget areas I used IDs of sidebar-5, sidebar-6, sidebar-7, and sidebar-8 (following a tutorial about adding footer widgets to Twenty-Twelve, and starting 1 number higher thinking that Poppup may be using sidebar-4 for the special widget area). Is this the problem, does Poppop use those IDs too? Can I use a completely different ID like myfooter-1, myfooter-2, etc. or do they have to start with “sidebar” in order to be recognized by WP as widget areas?

    Thanks in advance.
