Popup Image Previewer Plugin

I have been looking and looking for a plugin that allows me to have images popup nicely, similar to this sites plugin http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/microsoft-attorney-argues-android-patent-strategy-proof-system-is-working/, for my posts. I already have a very custom built design within WordPress and I can’t seem to get any plugin working properly. I have images already within my pages, I click on them and they continue to take me to the Attachment page, which I don’t want.

I’m more or less at a loss as to how people are getting theirs to work, and about to just give up hope on the whole idea.
