Does anyone know a simple way to add an additional sidebar to this template? I am currently using it at http://www.dadscape.com, and want a sidebar on the left hand side as well.

The simple way is to learn CSS so you can make the changes you desire. :-) I'm not trying to be a wise cracker... but the question you ask leads me to believe you don't know how to do it, and therefore someone would have to do it for you.

Try reading some simple layout tutorials. Check w3schools.com.

I've taught myself css and php to a point, as you can tell my blog's template is pool, and really looks nothing like the original. Everything I've done has been trial and error, so I'm sure I can manage to learn how to do it. Was just wondering if there was a knowledgebase regarding this, so I can have a bit of help.

Basically just like how you created 3 columns for your footer sections, you just need to create a new <div > and style it accordingly, and add it to your index.php file (and add it to the others if you want 3 columns on those pages too).

I'm pretty sure if you check the stylesheets for any other site with 3 columns it can be a big help.

You can contact me if you need any other help.

  7. There's a nice 3-col tutorial here.

Basically, add the second sidebar floated to the left, then unfloat the main content area & add big enough margins so it's in the middle of the sidebars.

Thanks man, appreciate it. It took some hard work to get the footer that way, and I think it's a little "band aid" if you catch my drift. Probably not the cleanest css, but it worked.

Try positioniseverything.net for tutroials on how to do 3 columns with liquid content (like on my site). There are several examples.

You might want to try this theme:

I use it on my site: TiVoBlog.com

    Good luck,

Thanks for all the help. I'll try to check out the sites mentioned and see if I can do what I'm trying to!
