    Hi,
    Just tried to update and got this error message:

    “Polylang has been deactivated because you upgraded from a too old version.
    Please upgrade first to 0.9.8 before ugrading to 1.1.6.”

    How could I do its without going back to the last backup?
    thanks

    You will have to do this upgrade manually using an FTP software such as Filezilla.

    IMPORTANT: Do no use the ‘delete’ red link in WordPress admin otherwise Polylang will remove all its data.

    * Make a database backup (although things should run smoothly, it’s always prudent to make a database backup before upgrading plugins).
    * Download Polylang v0.9.8
    * Uncompress the archive on your computer
    * Using FTP:
    * Delete the directory polylang in wp-content/plugins
    * Upload the version 0.9.8 in the same directory

    * Go back to the plugins table in the WordPress admin. You should see Polylang 0.9.8. Activate it if it is not already activated.
    * Check that your site is running smoothly
    * Upgrade to 1.1.6 using the automatic upgrade as usual.

    For my information, do you remember what was the old version of Polylang?

    Thanks a lot.
    I’m not sure what was the old version.
