I've used wp-polls and merlic polls and both have pooped out and have no support.
Is there a stable and actively supported plugin that is not hosted elsewhere and that would work in a post?
Please share with me a plugin that works. Premium plugins are OK.
I would try polldaddy - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/polldaddy/
It's own by Automattic, so it's up to date and works very well.

Thanks Christine.
I did take a look at polldaddy but they are very costly for a project with no return on investment.
Any other one time purchase or free plugins you can think of will be greatly appreciated.
