• Sort of a dumb question, I guess, but I cannot manage to see the php files of the theme I am trying to internationalize from poEdit “update from source” menu (e.g. the item stays gray on the menu). My guess is that I get the base path wrong, but I’ve tried several options collected from different tutorials (from the complete path C:/…/… etc. to the dot . ), and I just can’t get it.

The theme was not internationalized, neither has it .pot or .po files, so I tagged all the individual php files with __ and _e , but now I’m stuck with the above problem.

    Any ideas?

  • Did you ever get a solution to this problem?

In Catalog>Settings, you need to set a path. If your po is in the same directory as the php files, this would be ‘.’ and you need to set keywords, which for WP are __ and _e (the names of the functions it needs to slurp strings from).

    Good luck
