Podpress Media File check returns "<!DOCTYPE html..." instead of filesize. (6 posts)

After I point to a media file in podpress, instead of a filesize being returned, it displays "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/D..................." etc etc
    Whats up?
I can listen to my file, but my subscribers have fallen off drastically since this started!

    Please help!

Is the URL to your media file correct? What happens when you open that URL in a browser?

    Yup,
The URL opens and plays like it should. This only started with my upgrade to 2.7...

I also experience this similar issue. I have not resolved the issue. I'm guessing it's something with the latest version of PodPress and WP 2.7.

Well, I don't know why that's happening, but you can just manually put in the filesize instead, in bytes. That will at least workaround the issue.

Thanks, will try that. It's affecting (I believe) my media enclosures, because my feedburner feedmedic reports errors, just when this started to happen.
