Podcasting Statistics Redirect

    Hi Hugh,

    I’ve been working away on the Podcasting site, and looking into statistics again. I was wondering what the possibility was of implementing a simple setting to implement a statistics redirect URL, as they have in Powerpress? It would make it really easy to use an external podcasting stats system, like BluBrry, but use your far better plugin.

    I believe all it takes is appending a statistics redirect URL from the statistics provider to the normal media URLs.

    Hi Colin,

    Thanks for this – I haven’t put a lot of work into the stats side of things yet, but I plan on doing that very soon. I’ll definitely explore external options like BluBrry and see what I can come up with.

    No worries, glad to help develop an already excellent plugin 🙂

    I wonder, as a stopgap, can you think of an easy place within the code to hard-code a redirect URL? I can’t help but think it must be really easy to just append that URL to the main media URL. For BluBrry for example, all it does is take an MP3 URL in wordpress, remove the HTTP:// and add http://media.blubrry.com/xxx/ onto the front.

    Any ideas appreciated!
