PNG Upload problem

    When trying to upload a png file I am getting the following error:

    Warning: exif_read_data({file-name}.png) [function.exif-read-data.php]: File not supported in {path-to}\wp-admin\includes\image.php on line 291

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at {path-to}\wp-admin\includes\image.php:291) in {path-to}\wp-includes\pluggable.php on line 415

    Any help to resolve this issue is appreciated.

    I tried using a gif instead of a png and I am getting the same error:

    You can turned into JPEG files.
