png image not showing

    in my theme all the jpg images are being shown but the images with png extension are not being displayed.

    Probably you have uploaded them to wrong directories or messed up file names or something like that. Remember that file names are case sensitive, so image.PNG and image.png are different files.

    There is no reason for WP to show jpeg images and not to show png images.
