Looks good for the most part, the “Write For Us” bit looks out of place, and takes up too much space for such a small (width) banner. Lots of white space. I would get rid of it, or find somewhere else to put it.
Also Firefox blocked a popup when I went to your page and popups are so five years ago.
Other than that your blog looks really good! I’m actually going to read up and read advice I can use in my own blog. 🙂
On second thought, I would center the “Write for Us” banner and subtract lower the height of it. That may make it look better, but even then I’m sure you can find a better place for it.

Honestly, I think it looks really great. Very professional! The only thing I suggest changing is your header. It has the least bit of personality of everything on your blog and gets kind of lost with everything else on the page.
