What version of Wordpres are you using?
What page does this occur on (e.g. Post or Pages or P&E Page builder)?
How many images do you have in your media folder (e.g. some, none, or many.).
I will try my best to find the problem but I have not seen it before.

Do you know if your media gallery is located in the defualt directory of WordPress?

I have 3 images in my media gallery
I cannot find the map where my pictures reside, where should they be ?
I’m using wordpress version 3.4.2, no extra plugins but the install of wordpress was done via installatron.
Is the problem related to permissions on files or directories ?

I’ve found my pictures in the upload directories :
wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/10
It seems there maybe. is this a home server or a hosting company?
