Plugins Not Updating

I have 4 plugins that need updating. I have tried on different occasions to update in bulk, individually, deactivating and activating again, and repeating the process. When I click on the update button, it goes through the whole process, and I even get a notice indicating that all updates have been completed. When I click on the return to the plugins page link, however, wordpress still shows that there 4 updates available. When I go to each individual plugin, each of them indicates that “there is a new version of (plugin) available. View version (X.Y) details or update now.

Can anyone help?
