Help! I'm a newbie with WordPress and so far I love what I see. I have followed the instructions for uploading plugins to the right directory, but nothing shows up in the Dashboard plugins other than the two that came with the original install.
I have read the documentation and the readme files, still nothing. I even discovered the need for the header (but the docs don't say what file this should be on).
So, any ideas? I have tried 8 plugins and none of them show up.

Posted 3 years ago #The plugins are no in the dashboard plugin widget (I don't know what that's for, so I turned it off), but in the plugins section. See the right of your screen "plugins" and click there.

Posted 3 years ago #Thanks. I did check there and selected the "plugins" on the upper right. It still lists just the two that came with the initial install.

Posted 3 years ago #In that case you have uploaded them incorrectly. They should be in wp-content/plugins and also make sure you don't "nest folder", as in wp-content/plugins/pluginname/pluginname/pluginfiles.
