   hi everyone
   after migration to a new host neither "contact form 7" nor "configure smtp" work anymore. furthermore, when i set the WP_DEBUG to true the back-end crashes. therefore, I am unable to debug my problem.

   let's begin with configure smtp: I have two configuration options, 1) using gmail 2) using the smtp server of my new host. both of them don't work: when I try to send a test-message, i get the following error:

   An error was encountered while trying to send the test e-mail.

   SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.

   Failed to connect to server
   Connection refused

   actually, I was told that 'configure smtp' wouldn't be necessary at all since the smtp server runs on the same server as the webserver. however, I get the usual error message when I deactivate 'configure smtp' and try to submit a form.

   What could be the reason for the failure? on my localhost using gmail everyhting worked perfectly. Is there any way to debug these plugins?
