If you use podPress to embed the video then you can use the width and height input field below the Location field in the podPress box below the WP post editor.
BTW: If a thread is related e.g. to podPress, add always the tag ‘podpress’. Otherwise I do not discover the thread.
If a post has a certain tag e.g. ‘podpress’ it becomes part of special RSS feeds. I have only subscribed to some of these RSS feed e.g. the one of ‘podpress’.
Upd.: I added the tag ‘podpress’.
podPress box below the WP post editor
-> am I right that it is only suitable for those videos that are at the end of the post?
These are options are for Youtube videos which you add with podPress. But it works also if you place the podPress elements at the top or inside the post.
For this particular video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbMLjDXDXBM&feature=related
-> would you mind show me exactly the code to control the size of the video?
Add the video URL as the ‘Location’ (in the podPress box below the WP post editor). podPress should discover that it is a Youtube video automatically (at least when the focus is away from the Location field).
On that screenshot you can see the podPress box:

One of the option is Dimensions. You may either insert custom values for width and hide or you may choose predefined dimensions. This is the place where you can influence the size of the video.
If you really want to modify something in the code of the plugin then look into the file /js/podpress.js. But I really don’t understand why you want to do that. Are the input fields or the drop-down menu (which you can see in the screenshot) not sufficient?
I was tried to add videos using the “podPress box”, but all the videos are displayed at the end of the post
-> If I simply past the video link at the top, or in the middle of the post, I found no ways to change the size and other parameters like those in the the “podpress box”.
-> maybe I am too stupid, but… can you show me how to put videos at the top, and in the middle of the post and control their sizes?
It seems that “[display_podcast]” is the solution,
-> but… actually not!
-> I edit a test post like this:
==================================
[display_podcast]
This is a test
[display_podcast]
THis is a test
==================================
and added 3 media links to the podpress box:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e56OsD36bc&feature=player_embedded
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LonXzyvJprY&feature=player_embedded
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMotoFk9kTo&feature=player_embedded
The post then displayed like this:
=========================================

You can use the place-holder [display_podcast] to determine the position of the podPress elements (like the player and the download links). But if you add more than one episode to a post then all the episodes will be displayed as a block (at the position of the place-holder). it is not possible to position the episodes separately at different positions in the post content.
If you want to display the podPress elements at the beginning of a post then you may use the related option at the general settings page of podPress.
[…] I simply past the video link[…]
inside the post content.
That is not possible with WP. You need to use a plugin (as far as I know it).
