Can't get this plugin to work (5 posts)

I installed this plugin and then created a folder under my "public_html" to hold my photos. I then linked to this folder in the box for "Zenphoto gallery URL". I'm assuming that's how that it is suppose to be done?

Anyway, after doing this I keep getting the following error message at the top: Zenphoto data path could not be retrieved. Please insert it manually below. Try to come up with something similar to "/home/server/public_html/" which is your current WordPress path.

Well, I've tried various URLs to my photos folder that I created on my server without any change. I'm assuming this is how I'm suppose to do this, because the instructions with this plugin weren't very helpful in this regard.

I also notice a second box appears below the URL box, which says "Zenphoto data path". Below this box is an example URL, "/var/www/example.com/zenphoto/zp-data". I cannot find anything called "zp-data" in my server's folders.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

I'm sorry: did you put just images in your folder inside public_html?
ZenphotoPress is meant to be used with photos stored in Zenphoto: it's not supposed to work with a simple folder full of files.

Thanks, but I went with WP Photo Album Plus instead. Works great and I didn't have to hunt around for folders or files to make it work.

Well, if you don't use Zenphoto, I suppose a plugin integrating Zenphoto with WordPress is not exactly your piece of cake ;)

Oh it wasn't that, it was just that I could not figure out where to put the photos, like I asked in my first post. You said "ZenphotoPress is meant to be used with photos stored in Zenphoto: it's not supposed to work with a simple folder full of files." But you didn't tell me how to do that.

So I had to look elsewhere.
