   I've got the same problem as mentioned in this thread:

   The plugin creates short urls for all old postings. I think this is not good because of

   1.) I am losing the short combinations for URLs ;)

   (more important)

   2.) I think that this behaviour isn't good for the blog performance.

   I would agree. I was very surprised to log into my YOURLS backend and see 1900 links!

   It's not typical for folks to tweet about old content, some of it several years old. But I suppose it's OK as long as the database performance is not bogged down. So far, I've not seen any slowness... fingers crossed...
