Hey!
So I was reading in a few posts that sites with lots of tags were having issues with the browsers. Well, we just spent a week trying to sort out why my entire server was having 504 Gateway Timeout errors. This is a VPS with 1024megs of ram running a couple of sites with low traffic.
After a week with 2 techs and DBA, we were able to isolate it to the YARPP plugin running on one of the sites. Everytime the page loaded, the sql daemon would max out the cpu core. With more than 1 person looking at a page, it would simply timeout the entire server for several seconds effecting all the sites. Further investigation show that if I told it to not consider the tags, everything went back to normal.
So just wanted to let you know. I'm running the latest beta version at this point (3.2b3)
The site running the plugin had 1200 tags.
Hope you come up with a solution for this. :) It's a great plugin but without tag considering, it's severally limited for our needs :(
