    If you find that the YARPP database calls are still too database-intensive, try the following:

    turning off "cross relate posts and pages";
    turning on "show only previous posts";
    not considering tags and/or categories in the Relatedness formula;
    not excluding any tags and/or categories in The Pool.
    All of these can improve database performance.

    Where are these settings??
    I don't have anything like this under Settings / Related Posts (YARPP)

    Forget it. As per usual, Screen Options is hiding stuff. (Why hide as default???)

    OH JESUS!!!

    I've been looking through the code for days trying to figure out where these options had gone (I used to use this plugin on a ifferent website).

    Thanks for the heads-up, immanence.

    AND THANKS FOR HIDING NEEDED OPTIONS, YARPP DEVELOPER :( :( :(

  4. The Relatedness controls are things which the vast majority of people do not need to touch.

    I'm adding a note to that FAQ entry so that it says where you can find the Relatedness options. Thanks.
