• Hello,

    I was using YARPP 3 beta4 on WP2.7.1 and for some reason I was getting the same results for both related_posts and related_pages.

    I checked the settings and ‘Cross-relate posts and pages?’ was not selected. I was not using templates either.

    The code I was using to open the related posts/pages is:

    <?php related_posts(); ?>
    <?php related_posts(); ?>

    You can see this on my site (Creative World) you can see related posts/pages down on the right hand side column.

    I’ve reverted back to YARPP 2.1.6 and it it working correctly.

    Just wanted to let you know… If there’s anything I can do to help you investigate this issue just let me know 🙂

  • Hi, there. I have got the same problem – is there still no possibility to fix it???

    Hi all— I’ll be looking into this problem in the near future, but I’m trying to fix more immediate issues first. :/ Hope to get to this soon.

    This is a problem for me too.

    We may roll back to previous version.

    It is really really important for us to be able to have related pages function. Now it is broken.

    This is a great plugin. But it needs to tested more thoroughly before next major release. We’ve updated 3 times in last 3 days, and had to rebuild cache each time, etc.

    When it works though, it is great.

    @shoot2score67 – feel free to roll back to the previous version and I apologize for the inconvenience.

    However, I will note that YARPP 3 is the result of months of public betas (seven rounds) with at least a few dozen testers who chimed in. I also tested on a few different server environments. As I am but a single developer, doing this as a hobby on top of my full-time job, this is the best I can do.

    Just as with any other software product, if you are concerned about stability, I recommend you check out the forums to see what others are saying and adopt once it’s been out for a little while and things are stable.

    (ps: there should also be no reason you had to rebuild the cache each time… :/)

    @mitchoyoshitaka – thanks for taking the time to respond. And I absolutely understand your efforts on this plug-in. It’s one of our top 3 most important on our site. It’s that good! That’s why we’re disappointed when we need to roll back to restore functionality that worked fine previously.

    Still we know how s/w dev goes, esp as 1 man shop. Keep up the good work. We’re eager for new update. Cheers.
