   I turned off the automatic display because I did not want it to display in a certain category of posts. But that means I have no way to turn it on in the other posts.

   I am using Thesis 1.8 as a theme.

   How do you turn on the YARP then?

   You'll have to add the PHP code related_posts() in your template where you want to output the results.

   I'm not sure how this is done in Thesis myself, but I'll add the thesis tag here. It may be best to ask Thesis support/forums.
