I am not able to exclude tags or categories in two different blogs, one using Yarpp 3.3.3., one 3.4b10. Yes, I know how to do it, because I did it in former blogs. But what I see now is just the field "The Pool" and the text "Disallow by category"/"Disallow by tag". What I don't see is the usual list where I can check the category. I tried it with Chrome and with Firefox, but it's always the same. What's the matter?

Yes, this is a JavaScript error which may be browser-specific. Can you see if there are any errors posted on the JavaScript console?

Probably, the question isn't very intelligent - but where do I find the Javascript console?
By the way, the problem is arising in Chrome as well as in Firefox, but it is only arising in the mentioned two blogs, whereas an older blog of mine, though using the same (3.3.3.) version, does work as it ought to, i.e. shows the categories and tags in the "Pool". As they are running on different servers, could it be a difference in the server configuration?
It's unlikely that it's the server configuration, but possible... what version of PHP are they running? What version of WordPress are on these sites?

I have just updated to WP 3.3., from the previous version, I think it was 3.2.1. (but the result is the same). The PHP, acccording to the provider is PHP 5.3.x with Zend Guard Loader 3.3.
Does your PHP include JSON support? It might be this bug that I just reported:
http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/19524
There probably will be a core fix soon.

Sorry, as a non-expert, I cannot tell you whether JSON is supported. But if I understand you well, we can be hopeful that the probem will soon be solved?
Install the hotfix plugin - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/hotfix/
See if that helps?

Unfortunately, it doesn't.
