[Plugin: Yet Another Related Posts Plugin] Additional drafts on posting (3 posts)

This is a WordPress 2.7.1 under XAMPP 1.6.8 with the following plugins installed:
    - Bluebrry Powerpress 0.7.3
    - Category Search 1.0.1
    - Dagon Design Sitemap Generator 3.15
    - Revision Control 1.9.1
    - Simple Tags 1.6.6
    - WP Autosuggest 0.22
    - WP WidgetCache 0.25.1

Using YARPP 3.0.1 causes in most cases a newly posted article to be posted, however, there are also usually three (sometimes two) additional drafts with intermediate versions of the article. I did not save any drafts manually.

Maybe the caching mechanism picks up drafts as well and creates some weird side-effect making the drafts persistent drafts, even while the article is being typed.

This way, YARPP 3 is unusable for me.

  2. Gandalf -- I'm a little confused... with WP 2.7.1, the editor automatically saves drafts every minute or so. Do you mean that YARPP is linking to drafts as well as published posts? Could you clarify the problem you're having?

    This means the following:

    - I start a new article by clicking on "new post".
    - I copy the headline (title)...
    - I copy the body...
    - The posting date may have to be adjusted...
    - A custom attribute "source" needs to be set...
    - Categorization and tagging...

This may take a couple of minutes. During that time, the draft may get saved more than once.

When I finally post the article, the article itself is posted properly and contains all I specified for it. However, there are also two or three articles in draft status with some intermediate contents along the process of creating the content. Deleting these drafts does not break anything.

If I deactivate the plugin, this behaviour goes away immediately.
