  • Is there a plugin to add rich text editing to the existing Text widget?

wpvince: not that I’ve seen, but I’m debating between WYSIWYG widgets and looking at writing my own that adds rich test editing to the native Text widget, so was looking to get this author’s thoughts on why he did it like he did

I suppose keeping the option of existing text widget to be ‘plain’ is useful, as WYSIWYG options can sometimes mess with code.
