[Plugin: WPtouch] User Agents confusion

Hi…
When trying to configure WPTouch, I saw conflicting directions in several sites:

here it says to copy the same set of User Agents to all locations (Wptouch and the rejected agents in the W3 Total Cache). But here,

it says:

The highlighted items above are found in the list of user agents in the WPtouch Advanced Options section. The remaining list is the mobile user agents in the second to last section of the W3 Total Cache Page Cache Settings page with Android, iPhone, and iPod removed since it was already in the WPtouch user agents list.

I am trying to understand this- it means the lists in WPTouch user agents and the rejected agents in the cache pages are supposed to be mutually exclusive? please help… thanks
