   I have in a post several divs with the overflow property set. The scrollbars show up and work in the desktop version. But in the mobile version the scrollbars do not show up.

   WPtouch does support the overflow property. Since you need that preformatted text to scroll everywhere it displays, why not set the overflow selector to overflow:scroll; to ensure it does so?
