[resolved] PLUGIN - WPTouch Pro 3 - fatal error activation (4 posts)

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Warning: require_once(/home1/ultimate/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wptouch-pro-3/pro/professional.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home1/ultimate/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wptouch-pro-3-3/core/globals.php on line 4

    Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home1/ultimate/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wptouch-pro-3/pro/professional.php' (include_path='.:/opt/php53/lib/php') in /home1/ultimate/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wptouch-pro-3-3/core/globals.php on line 4

    I have next to zero experience with code. I've created a ticket already at bravenewcode support. It's the holidays, so it will be a while until any response is expected there.

    You can try deactivating that plugin by renaming it on your site files on the server - you'll need to use FTP or Cpanel to do so - ask your hosting company how to do that if you don't know. Find it here:

        plugins
           wptouch-pro-3-3.HOLD

    WPyogi thanks for trying to help.

    Not sure if it was just an issue with my doing this on a Mac or not. The file initially would never download as a zip file. It downloaded as a php, then I made it a zip file prior to installing it to my site. I think some files may have been lost in that process, causing the error.

    I used a friends PC today to redo the process from scratch just now. Worked perfectly.
